Congratulations Mrs. Julie Dannhardt! 2020 St. Luke Catholic School Teacher of the Year
When asked to describe her Catholic educational phylosophy, Mrs. Dannhardt wrote, "When students enter the Art Room, they know that they will be working on projects where EVERYONE can be successful. My Catholic educational philosophy is derived from my own Catholic education, from first grade through college. It made me who I am today, and is so ingrained in me that I can't help but share my faith with my students. Art provides a fantastic way for students to express their feelings, and their faith in God. My students become evangelists when they make pew decorations for Catholic Schools Week that illustrate what their Catholic school means to them, or when we cover the CYO building with beautiful hand-made crosses for our outdoor Mass. As co-moderator of the Mother Teresa Society I help student members learn to live their faith as we serve the school and our community together. I grew up EXPERIENCING my faith, and I want to teach my students to live their lives in the same way."
Thank you for loving our students and nurturing the artist in each and every one of them! Our parish and school communities are blessed with your selfless service.
